Great museum quality reproduction hand painted genuine leather patch for the 44th Bomb Group or Flying Eightballs who were based at Shipdham Airfield, Norfolk in Ww2 flying the B-24 Liberator. This is patch is approximately 125mm in diameter plus the nose cone. Each squadron had the same patch with a different nose colour and the 4 colours were combined on the Group patch. This Group flew the missions to Ploesti and Kiel in 1943 gaining a Distinguished Unit Citation each time.
