Part of the 316th Troop Carrier Group 9th USAAF based at Cottesmore Leics with the 52nd Troop Carrier Wing. Flying C47 Skytrains these boys dropped the airborne troops into Tunisia & Sicily in the early airborne missions and later into Normandy, Holland and the Rhine Crossing. Good looking patch of Dumbo which is seen on a lot of C47 squadron patches. Approx size 125mm.
